Day 15 sees my return as we enter the penultimate day of the course. Ed will be back in a couple of days with his conclusion to the ritual.

Yesterday we showed some simple ways to display your content and charge people for it. Today we get more advanced, because a ‘Buy now’ button won’t solve all eventualities.

We thought that this course infrastructure would make a nice case study to talk through. It’s been tried and tested by many hundreds of people across many courses and whilst there is always the occasional issue to solve, we like to think we’ve worked through the more difficult ones now.

In today’s session I talk through setting up a course membership site – the plugins to use and a tour of one of them to show how this course is put together. If you haven’t already worked it out, it may surprise you to know we fall back on the amazing WordPress once again – it’s such a versatile tool…

We thought it would be interesting to take things a step further and to show you how you can display and sell your videos and other content using your WordPress blog. There’s little point in creating content, if you can’t display it!

So today, I show you the best way I know of displaying your beautifully created and rendered videos within your blogs pages and then go on to explain WHY and HOW to use Paypal to do some basic selling. Do note, as I mention this is a technique for low value goods. We need to start talking secure logins etc with higher value services, however if you want to spend $0 and 2 mins getting your first ebook sale up and running – this will do you perfectly!
